The Looff Carousel is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary this year. The Giant Dipper is the 5th oldest roller coaster in the nation and is still in its original location. Both the Carousel and the Giant Dipper have been designated National Historic Landmarks by the U.S. National Park Service. Santa Cruz is host to many residential neighborhoods each one as nice as the next. The West Side being one of the most notable with the Lighthouse and bike/walking trail along the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean. The Upper West Side is adjacent to University of California Santa Cruz (U.C.S.C.). The Upper West Side of Santa Cruz is set along the foot hills of the Santa Cruz Mountains and many homes have ocean views in the distance.
